The current building of First and Second Church was designed by Paul Rudolph and completed in 1972. Rudolph preserved the tower and rose windows, which face Berkeley Street, from the old building which burned in 1968. The new building, which fronts Marlborough Street, is built in a modern style which is designed to complement the tower and rose window of the old church. The main sanctuary seats 300 on a main level and two balconies.
